Configuring Shopify Customer Account API Integration

1. Installing and Setting Up the Headless Sales Channel

Go to your Shopify Admin Dashboard, search for Headless in the search bar, and install the app.

2. Creating a storefront

After installing the app, go to the Sales Channels section, open Headless, and click Create Storefront.

3. Managing API Access for the Customer Account API

After the storefront token is created, you’ll see a Manage API Access section with two options: Storefront API and Customer Account API. Click Manage next to Customer Account API.

4. Select the client type as Public (web app)

 5. Make note of the Client ID and have it copied in a local file.

6. Configuring the Application Setup Section

On scrolling down to the page, you’ll find a section called “Application Setup”. You’ll have to fill-in the following fields.

Callback URI - https:// <domain>.myshopify.com/new-customer-login

Javascript origin - https:// <domain>.myshopify.com

Logout URI - https://<domain>.myshopify.com

Where to get myshopify URL?

Go to Settings and click Domains to find your myshopify.com URL.

If multiple URLs are listed, use the one ending with myshopify.com as the correct URL.
