Apple verifies developer accounts to make sure the person or organization is real and authorized to submit apps.
Verification helps:
Protect app users by ensuring apps are safe and reliable.
Confirm ownership of the apps and prevent unauthorized submissions.
Ensure organizations are legally registered and the enroller has authority.
In short, verification keeps the App Store trustworthy, secure, and compliant for everyone.
For Individual Account
Apple ID with two-factor authentication (2FA) enabled
Personal information: Full legal name, date of birth, address
Phone number for verification
For Organization account
Apple ID with 2FA enabled
Legal entity name of your company
D-U-N-S Number to verify your business
Business contact information (address, phone, email)
Official business documents (may be requested):
Business license or registration certificate
Articles of incorporation or other legal entity proof
Legal authorization proof (enroller must be owner, executive, or authorized to enroll)
Verification Process - Individual Account
There is no steps for verification; Apple may send a verification email or call to confirm your identity.
Verification Process - Organization Account
There is no separate steps for verification; Once the account is enrolled,
Apple may contact your business via phone or email to verify:
Legal entity status
Authority of the enroller
Submit additional documents if requested
Great job! Your developer account is now verified and ready for use.
