Apple verifies developer accounts to make sure the person or organization is real and authorized to submit apps.

Verification helps:

• Confirm ownership of the apps and prevent unauthorized submissions.

• Ensure organizations are legally registered and the enroller has authority.

What documents and actions are needed to complete the verification

For Individual Account

• Apple ID with two-factor authentication (2FA) enabled

• Personal information: Full legal name, date of birth, address

• Phone number for verification

For Organization account

• Apple ID with 2FA enabled

• Legal entity name of your company

• D-U-N-S Number to verify your business

• Business contact information (address, phone, email)

• Official business documents (may be requested):

  • Business license or registration certificate

  • Articles of incorporation or other legal entity proof

• Legal authorization proof (enroller must be owner, executive, or authorized to enroll)

Steps to carry out Verification Process

Verification Process - Individual Account

There is no steps for verification; Apple may send a verification email or call to confirm your identity.

Verification Process - Organization Account

There is no separate steps for verification; Once the account is enrolled,

• Apple may contact your business via phone or email to verify:

  • Legal entity status

  • Authority of the enroller

• Submit additional documents if requested
